How to use your Beeswax Wrap

    Beeswax wraps are perfect for:

Covering bowls, plates and containers. The warmth of your hands and fingers soften the beeswax coating so that you can mould it to surfaces. For round bowls, create small pleats as you go around finishing off with cupping the side and pressing the wrap to the side for a few seconds with your hand. Fopr square rectangular containers, pleat at the corners or just scrunch the access wrap to itself and the container.

Wrapping Food The ingredients in our beeswax wrap formula are food grade standard therefore perfect for moulding around items such as bread, cakes, cheese, fruit and vegatables. Use the besswax wrap like gift wrapping paper to encase your food item using the warmth of your hands to stick to itself rather than tape.

    Beeswax Wrap Origami

Parcels and Pockets Create colourful beeswax bags and pockets by folding and rolling the edges to create seams, hold the seams with your hands so that wax is warmed and sticks to itself to create a seal. This is great for packed lunches, picnics or to store items in the fridge.

Platters and Open Containers Beewswax Wraps look great on a party table or for entertaining when formed into platters. Fold over the edges and press firmly and pleat the corners to form a ridged container for cakes, bread rolls and culinary creations. Fold into open ended bags for snacks such as popcorn, crisps or fruit; perfect for that cosy film night.

    Fridge and Freezer

Freezer Items can be wrapped for use in the freezer however when you take them out please wait a few minutes to de-frost your wrap before unwrapping as it will feel like stiff cardboard. If you wouild like to freeze homemade soups, freeze in re-usable containers into a block then once frozen use a beeswax wrap to wrap for storage in the freezer. Fruit and vegetables fgrom harvesting once frozen on a tray can be wrapped using your beeswax wrap by creating a bag like the one on the right of the image.
